It is packed in the City Council of Norrköping when the motion on the prohibition of headscarves in preschool and school is to be discussed, in September 2016. The film is based on the four-hour recorded debate of found footage from the municipality’s communications department. Despite the fact that the motion is voted down by a large majority, the racist rhetoric lingers in the room.
Motion against headscarves premiered at Gothenburg International Film Festival in 2019. The film received an honorary award at Sweden's largest documentary festival, Tempo. (International Premiere at Faroe Islands International Minority Film Festival!)
